Creativity

Traits and skills that influence behavior leading to the construction of original ideas, products, services, or processes that are viewed as desirable and valuable. Eccentricity is best viewed as creativity without the production of outcomes valued by others. Several theories of creativity have been proposed; many have applications in vocational psychology and career interventions. Lowman (1993) offers a chapter (pp. 213-238) on work counseling with the creative.
