Andrew Carson's areas of expertise are career counseling, and career and HR-assessment, applications of new technology to counseling and assessment, project and program management, and strategic planning. Through Drew Carson Consulting, he provides consulting services and resources in these areas through VocationalPsychology.com (for career counseling needs) and DrewCarson.com (for human resources needs). He has published extensively in both in scientific and professional journals (25+ publications), chapters in professional books (5), and the general press (both print and online). He completed his A.B. in General Studies from Harvard College in 1982, an M.S. in Human Development from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1986, and a Ph.D. in Educational/Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990 (program and internship both APA accredited). After teaching on the faculty of counseling psychology programs at Boston University and McGill University, he served as director of Research & Ball Labs at The Ball Foundation and directed projects at two education-oriented dotcoms (Britannica.com and UNext.com). Subsequently, he was a Senior Project Director at Riverside Publishing in Itasca, Illinois, where he directed development of major psychological and educational assessment instruments, including the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales, Fifth Edition, the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales for Early Childhood, Fifth Edition, and other assessments.
