This site serves the needs of two groups: professionals interested in career development and vocational psychology, and individuals seeking help with their own careers. We try to provide useful information and resources to both groups. Navigation. It is easy to find areas of the site relevant to your needs. You can always tell where you are in relation to the homepage by looking at the 2nd line of the page (on this page, it is "home > about"). Use the set of links at the bottom of most pages of the site, or through buttons provided in the right navigation bar on both this page and on the site's homepage. Submitting material for publication. If you are interested in submitting material for publication to the site, contact us. For purposes of copyright, VocationalPsychology.com is considered a collective work, and although VocationalPsychology.com holds copyright over the website as a whole, individual contributors retain copyright over individual items submitted to VocationalPsychology.com for publication. Thus, contributors are free to resubmit any item for republication elsewhere. (Note, however, that most journals require you to hand over copyright as a condition for publication, and that once a work is submitted to VocationalPsychology.com you provide consent for it to be published as a collective work. Thus, you could submit a work to VocationalPsychology.com and later to a typical journal, but probably not the other way around, unless you first obtained permission from the journal.) Although we do not provide blind peer review, we do essentially provide public peer review, and individuals may submit comments regarding any material published on the site. VocationalPsychology.com retains sole responsibility to decide whether to publish material to the site. Technical details of the site. We developed the site using Dreamweaver 3 (Macromedia) and Paint Shop Pro 6 (Jasc). The HTML code generally conforms to HTML 4.0 specifications, and should display correctly to most browsers. Many of the images used on pages of this site are drawn from The Big Box of Art 350,000 Images and are used under license from Hemera, Inc. NetFirms.com provides hosting free of charge in return for those banners at the tops of pages. The goal in the design of the site was to permit fast loading and easy navigation. However, if you experience any difficulties in loading or displaying pages, or if you find any features of the navigation difficult to resolve, please email me (see Contact information below). We would be happy to try to correct any problems. Contact
